Get Ready to Soar! The 2012 Cumberland County Winter Eagle Festival is Coming, celebrating the Raptors of South Jersey. The event is held Saturday February 11, 2012 at the Mauricetown Firehall, and runs from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Admission - $10.00 Adults $5.00 Children 12 & under. Cape May County Zoo Have a wild time as you explore nearly 80 acres of beautifully maintained exhibits. With almost 200 different species of mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles totaling nearly 550 animals, you're sure to see something new. Open every day of the year except Christmas day (weather permitting). Hours are 10:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. (closing at 4:45 p.m. during summer hours). There is no admission fee. The zoo is Free! They have implemented energy-saving and environmentally friendly changes, including carpets made from corn, an energy-saving dishwasher, low-energy lights, environmentally friendly paints, energy-efficient air conditioners, and a strict glass and paper recycling policy. They also added 38 solar panels to the roof.
