Celebrating Anniversaire 40!

Isle City and Ocean City created a coupon booklet called a "Passport to Savings" for French Canadian travelers who are making the trek to the Jersey Cape for their vacation next year.

Canadian travelers have been enjoying the pristine beaches, bright sunshine and abundance of amusements and activities in Cape May County since the early 1970s, when it seemed as if the northern residents flocked to the seashore en masse.  "It seemed that way because they were coming here in very large numbers and now those who visited the Jersey Cape as children in the '70s and '80s are bringing their children," explained Diane Wieland, Cape May County Director of Tourism. 
 
"In today's uncertain economic climate it is important that we as an industry recognize and give back in some way to those who have been loyal customers.  In celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Canadian visitors to the area, the industry can show the French Canadian consumers their appreciation, while at the same time creating good will with returning customers and building new relationships.   The Canadian dollar is still trading favorably and this incentive will encourage more people to come during the season," Wieland added...
