“Passport to Savings” Program
The strong patronage of the French Canadians for the beaches of the Jersey Cape is reaching a milestone anniversary in 2010 entitled Anniversaire 40, and the business community is planning a celebration. Loyalty will pay big dividends for our Quebec neighbors as businesses throughout Cape May County, New Jersey honor the citizens of the Quebec province for 40 years of patronage by offering special savings, attractive discounts and at-par rates with our coupon booklet called a "Passport to Savings". The coupons are for French Canadian travelers who are making the trek to the Jersey Cape for their vacation next year.

Last year, the Cape May County Department of Tourism introduced the first discount program targeted directly to French Canadian consumers. In 2011, the “Passport to Savings” coupon booklet was launched and approximately 100 businesses offered a coupon to the French Canadian visitors to take part in the program. Once again, the Department of Tourism is rolling out the coupon booklet, and we invite your business to take part in this special campaign designed to bring French Canadian travelers right to your front door in the summer of 2011.
The favorable exchange rate in 2010 is expected to continue to remain nearly At Par into 2011. Leads generated from the Cape May County Department of Tourism’s advertising campaign continue to increase proving the patronage of the French Canadian customers remains strong to help Cape May County businesses fill the mid-week slump and increase travel expenditures.
The "Passport to Savings" coupon booklet will again be translated into French and handed directly to thousands of attendees at the Montreal Sportsman show as well as distributed to vacation planners at the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) offices located throughout the Province of Quebec. The special discount campaign will also be advertised by the Cape May County Department of Tourism in French publications such as CAA Touring Magazine, La Presse, Le Soleil and the Westmont Examiner newspaper group as well as on radio stations located in Montreal. The special coupon book will be distributed to qualified visitor leads as part of the discount savings program.
