Eco-tourism and Nature

New Jersey’s Southern Shore offers a bounty of attractions that provide entertainment, excitement and education rolled into one getaway. It is a perfect vacation place where the extraordinary beauty and wonder of mother nature’s attractions combine to provide a getaway limited only by imagination.

Birdcalls in the wild, dolphins splashing through the ocean waves and waterfowl sounds echoing in the marshland—from an up close and personal look at wildlife to outdoor recreational activities, the wonderful world of nature can be discovered at every shore point and wooded acre in the region.

With 30 miles of beachfront, 42 miles of bayfront coastline and thousands of acres of marshy wetlands and thick forest areas, Cape May and Cumberland counties are a natural stopover for more than 120 different species of birds.

A variety of ecological wonders, especially in wildlife management areas, provide perfect outings for visitors who want to explore the natural beauty of NJ’s Southern Shore.
