Our Partners

The Southern Shore Regional DMO (SSRTDMO) is a tourism marketing organization dedicated to the promotion and management of tourism activities in the destination commonly known as Cape May and Cumberland counties. As the region's official destination development and marketing leader, the SSRTDMO works with its partners every day by attracting leisure and business tourism visits. In addition, the council partners with other counties, regions, and tourism entities, with the belief that that all of us prosper more when we work in a concertive and collective manner.

It is estimated that 19 million visitors come to this region annually, spending more than $5.1 billion.

What was at one time a seasonal vacation spot for blue collar workers from the greater Philadelphia region has grown to become a year round destination for people of varying education and income. Tourism in this region is part of a growing national and global business. From the influx of International visitors from Canada for the beaches to those from Europe and beyond for birding this region is on the global map.

Tourism makes a vital contribution to the wider social and economic well-being of the region. It is the engine that provides jobs, regenerates downtown/main street areas, conserves historic buildings, builds interest in the environment and maintains the economic viability of local businesses.
